Templo Cristiano in Uvalde & Templo Emanuel, Crystal City, Texas

It was a great joy and privilege to be able to preach in Templo Cristiano A/G church in Uvalde, Texas, pastored by the Assistant Superintendent of the new Texas Gulf Hispanic District, Rev. Edddie De la Rosa and his wife. We were able to share first in the Spanish service at 9:30 a.m. and then we broke for a lunch (with carne asada) provided by the church especially for Father’s Day. Then we were able to share in English-language service at 12 p.m. What a wonderful congregation and Spirit in the service!  We appreciate the generous offering for our missions ministry and look forward to partnering with Templo Cristiano in the future.

That afternoon we went further south to Crystal City to preach at Templo Emanuel Assembly of God where the Superintendent of the new Texas Gulf Hispanic District, pastor “Dino” Espinoza has built the church into one of the premiere missions churches of the District. Templo Emanuel is a stellar testimony of a church giving sacrificially to missions and God rewarding in incredible ways. The church and pastor Dino have had a tremendous impact in the community. Four years ago the First Baptist church in Crystal City handed over the keys of their 2 million dollar facility as a gift to Templo Emanuel and pastor Dino “lock, stock & barrel” in a wonderful expression of their belief in their ability to fill the church facility and build the Kingdom of God in their community. As well as the church auditorium, the facility includes a gymnasium and Christian School. Praise the Lord! We enjoyed sharing on Father’s Day about the greatest expression of a Father’s love when God gave His one and only Son in order to save lost mankind. Jesus gave us the Great Commission to “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” and “these signs shall follow those who believe.” We really enjoyed the fellowship with the Esparza family and church members at the Dairy Queen after church and breakfast with pastor in the morning. We greatly appreciate the faithful prayer & financial support by our partners in Templo Emanuel. God bless you and thank you for your hospitality and generosity! From Crystal City it was off to Harlingen, Texas, for the very first District Council of the Texas Gulf Hispanic District in host church Abundant Life A/G.
